Starving Dog Sleeping on a Pile of Tiles to Stay Warm Makes Wonderful Transformation
A young dog in “heartbreaking condition” has made a wonderful recovery after she was rescued from a garage yard. Arnia is one of the four dogs Howl of A Dog recently rescued when they found them starving and diseased among 15 dogs living at the garage. They were sadly victims of a dog hoarding situation where someone’s good intentions went wrong, says the rescue.
Arnia and the two other dogs, Anuka and Alma, were huddled on a pile of tiles heated by the sun to stay warm in the December weather in Romania. Because of their size, the small dogs were unable to fight for the little food they got.
Howl of A Dog writes, “She was in a heartbreaking condition: emaciated, anemic, dehydrated, having muscular spasms and suffering from giardiasis.”
They took her and the other dogs back to their shelter so their much needed recoveries could begin.
Since her rescue a few months earlier, Arnia “has made a beautiful recovery, regaining not only her health, but also all the joy and happiness she missed before.”
Her rescuers say the the 2 to 3 year old dog has “spirit of a little puppy, jumping with joy, playing with pretty much everything and crazily zooming around the yard.” She also has beautiful, soulful eyes. Her transformation from before to now is truly wonderful!
Arnia is now up for adoption with Howl Of A Dog.
As for Anuka, you can read more about her here. And Alma’s rescue video is included below. She too, has made a wonderful transformation!
