Moment Rescue Dog Feels Safe with Her New Mom Revealed in Heartwarming Video

When adopting a rescue dog you never really know how long it will take for your new fur baby to feel comfortable enough to truly relax. It can take even longer for them to show you they love you. But you will always know the moment when they do. TikTokker Hellen shared that beautiful moment in a recent video.

In it, she is lounging on the couch with her senior pug and her newly rescued dog, Tundra. Her pug is lying on her stomach and Tundra is lying near her feet. Hellen captioned the video, “The moment you realize your new rescue feels safe and loves you.”

Hellen’s pug jumps off the couch when he sees Tundra move to sitting up, making room for Tundra to cuddle with her new mom.

As Hellen pets Tundra, Tundra looks adoringly up into her eyes. The heart-melting scene has quickly gained over 1.4 million views in just a few days.

Hellen shared on her TikTok channel that she adopted Tundra from the SPCA two months ago after “spending 10 minutes with her.”

Tundra was “seized for negligence so her past isn’t clear,” Hellen added. “We were told Boxer/Husky, we put Boxer mix on her file. We will get her DNA tested soon.”

Hellen said that Tundra has “been a cuddle bug since day one” but obviously this moment was extra special. Hellen revealed that she has been sleeping on the couch for weeks and that “my back is killing me but my heart is full.”

TikTokker Vinta Ibarra commented, “The way she looked at you. It was like you could see her make up her mind to just give in to the love.”

Lindsay Moran also noticed Tundra’s loving look and wrote, “omg, the way she looked at you” followed by teary-eyed emojis.

Hellen answered, “Tell me about it.”

Viewer Echo shared the sentiment and said, “I remember when my dog cuddled me the first time. Best moment ever.”

Many people also observed that Hellen’s pug seemed to know it was time to step away and let the new “baby” have her moment with mom.

Beckylee wrote, “Your pug furbaby just knew too.”

Another person noted, “Even the pug wanted her to have this moment.”

Hellen answered, “I rescued him [her pug] almost a decade ago, they have been spooning on the couch recently…makes me melt.”

Another TikTokker Korie commented, “Rescue dogs are the best dogs. It’s a whole other type of bond you get that no one will understand until you experience it yourself.”

Hellen responded, “I rescued my pug when he was 7 months old, he’s turning 10 in November. He’s my first dog & I didn’t expect to love something so much.”

Now that Tundra is in the home, Hellen shared her hopes about Tundra out loud, “I hope we can make you thrive for the rest of your life my sweet girl.”
