Abandoned Dogs Shivering in the Rain Offered Blankets and Snuggle into Them Right Away
For the past three days two dogs endured the cold rain after they were abandoned on the streets in Pennsylvania. Neighbors fed the dogs over the fence and when the dogs were offered blankets “they snuggled into them right away,” says Speranza Animal Rescue.
The dogs were cold, scared and exhausted. Knowing the two dogs couldn’t just be left to survive on their own, “a group of caring people” came together to help get the dogs the help they so desperately needed.
Speranza Animal Rescue joined in on the rescue efforts and within a few hours they were able to get the two dogs surrendered. Two of their volunteers went to pick up the dogs and bring them to the rescue’s shelter.
“Today we were able to save 2 more innocent souls,” the animal rescue shares in a Facebook post of the rescue. They add that the two dogs – named Mary and Rhoda – are warm, safe, loved and “are now able to sleep comfortably.”
Rescues like Mary and Rhoda’s happen every day but they only happen because of group of people are dedicated to helping the dogs who are abandoned through no fault of their own.
“Today a new journey began for these two girls. And it’s all thanks to a group of caring people coming together to help,” Speranza Animal Rescue writes. “To a group of caring people that SAID SOMETHING. And because of them another two lives have been changed for the better.”
