Stray Dog Rescued After She is Found Stuck Inside Chevy Nova Engine
A two-year-old stray dog found herself in a tight spot after she chased after a cat and got wedged inside the car engine area of a 1967 Chevy Nova.
Emergency rescuers from the Arizona Humane Society in Phoenix were called out to help the stuck dog. When they arrived they found the Weimaraner mix wedged in with only her rear end visible from under the car.
It took the rescuers about 15 minutes to carefully free the dog from the car. The dog, who they later named Nova, was a bit scared when rescuers tried pulling her out. But once she was freed, she was grateful and friendly.
AHS’s team took her back to the shelter where she was looked over by vets who determined that she only suffered a few scratches.
Cleaned up and fed, Nova is now ready for adoption. AHS says that Nova’s rescue is pretty unique. She is the only adult dog they’ve rescued from a car engine in the past 10 years.
