Murphy the Golden Retriever befriended a wild squirrel who comes to visit him every day. Murphy and the Chippy the squirrel built trust over time to the point where it is now a daily ritual for Murphy to greet Chippy every time she comes around.
The sweet Golden Retriever will sometimes carry his plush toys out as “gifts” for his tiny. But when Chippy didn’t show up for a while Murphy was sad, his mom Judie says. They didn’t know why Chippy had gone but when she returned Murphy was so happy and he was even more delighted when she brought her babies to meet him.
Soon Murphy made a second tiny friend with Chippy’s baby Peanut. Judie got Peanut a little “picnic table” for a nearby tree so Murphy can say “hi” all the time. And grandpa had a great idea to help Chippy stay close by too – he built her a special house so the friends can all stick together.
