Tripod Dog Found in Dumpster Amazes His Family When He Runs

Nova’s story began in heartbreak when he was found in a dumpster with his front leg badly infected. The Pit Bull was rescued by PAWS Chicago where veterinarians had no choice but to amputate his leg to save his life. His rescuers suspected he had been used as a bait dog, but despite his rough start, Nova was friendly and sweet and won over everyone he met.

It wasn’t long before Charlie and his wife decided Nova was the perfect addition to their family. From the moment they brought him home, Nova quickly warmed up to his new family including Omar, his canine brother.

To their delight, they discovered that Nova doesn’t let his missing leg slow him down. He runs, plays, and keeps up with any dog. According to Charlie, Nova is a bundle of energy with a gentle nature that lights up their home.
