Miss Willie the dog was kept chained outside in North Carolina for 12 long years, according her rescuers. Until the day one of the staff of PETA found Miss Willie too weak to stand and suffering from advanced heart worm disease.
Miss Willie’s owner finally agreed to give her up, and that’s when one volunteer decided to give her a bucket list adventure filled with fun, food and friends. She got to enjoy a pizza party, walks on the beach, a canoe ride. Miss Willie got to enjoy so many things – including sleeping on a bed inside – before she passed away 16 days after being rescued.
