Australian Firefighters Help Rescue Dogs Through Cuddles
Firefighters rescue countless dogs from fires and other dangers, but every year a group of Australian firefighters supports dogs in a different way—by taking off their shirts.
The 2025 Australian Firefighters Calendar showcases heartwarming moments of firefighters interacting with rescue animals. This year’s series features adorable kittens, Australian wildlife, playful puppies, and dogs. Funds raised support well-deserving charities across Australia and beyond.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the devastating Black Summer Bushfires that ravaged Australia, with reports estimating that 3 billion native animals perished. Among the charities benefiting from the Australian Firefighters Calendar is the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital.
Dr Stephen Mills, founder and CEO, said, “At Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, our mission is to treat sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife, with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. This generous support allows us to continue saving Australian wildlife and making a lasting difference.”
Dr. Mills added, “This partnership not only enhances the hospital’s ability to care for its patients but also fosters greater awareness about wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting our natural habitats. Together, they are making a meaningful impact on the Australian ecosystem and the lives of countless animals in need.”
Other charities supported by the 2025 Australian Firefighters Calendar include Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Kids with Cancer Foundation, Native Animal Rescue among others.
