Rescued Baby Elephants Enjoy Playing With Their New Dog Friend
At Save Elephant Foundation dedicated mahouts watch over each elephant at their sanctuary in Thailand to ensure the Asian elephants’ well being. Many of the mahouts have dogs as companions and the elephants, especially the babies, befriend the dogs and enjoy playing with the dogs.
The elephant sanctuary writes, “These dogs don’t just serve as pets but they become playmates for the elephants, fostering unique bonds.”
They add, “It’s heartwarming to witness elephants and dogs frolicking together, forming friendships between two species.”
In this cute video, baby elephants Pyi Mai and Chaba want to play with one of the dogs and chase him around. The dog isn’t afraid at all and enjoys running around and letting one of the calves chase after him.
