Badly Wounded Puppy Dumped On Woman’s Property Refuses to Give Up
A poor little puppy got chewed up and then dumped on a woman’s property with a bag of dog food. The woman saw the puppy being dumped and ran out to assist him, finding him “with swollen, infected bite wounds all over all of his legs,” Stray Rescue of St. Louis shared.
When Donna came out to the woman’s property, she could tell the puppy had been through a terrible ordeal. Stray Rescue revealed that the Good Samaritan was the very same person who found another deathly ill dog who Stray Rescue rescued a few weeks ago. “Just a few weeks ago, this same woman found Pineapple Slush (the pup who we removed the giant, infected uterus from!)”
As for this pup, the animal rescuers rushed him to their clinic, where they began to treat his wounds, which were days old. They named him Hawkeye.
A few days after Hawkeye’s rescue, he was ready to say “hello to everyone.” The pup “wants nothing more than to just be in someone’s lap. He’s scared, but so, so sweet,” Stray Rescue revealed.
“He’s healing after coming in a few days ago,” they continued. “He had bite wounds all over his body – all 4 legs and on his head. He was very swollen and painful [in a lot of pain]. But dogs never give up. He wagged his tail and gave us kisses, saying thank you over and over again.”
The rescue also revealed, “He’s just 5 months old and about as sweet as they come. He wants to thank you all for loving and praying for him! He’ll be ready for a medical foster soon, and we’d love to have someone lined up to take him, as our shelter is way too full. Can you take Hawkeye in??”
