Beagles Rescued from Mass Breeding Facility Have a Heartwarming Reunion a Year Later

In the summer of 2022, 4000 beagles were rescued from a mass breeding facility that supplied the dogs for animal experimentation. The Virginia facility had received multiple Animal Welfare Act violations for inadequate veterinary care and insufficient food among other issues.

The Humane Society of the United States mobilized their Animal Rescue Team to take the beagles and transport them to various shelters and rescue partners across the country. By September of that year 3766 were on their way to loving homes!

How are they doing a year later? Well, a group of those adopted beagles recently got together for their one year freedom/”gotcha day” anniversary with their original foster families.

Also shared a video of Enzo. He was just a pup when he was rescued. He was bound for an animal testing laboratory, just like the 3999 other beagles. But now he’s got a loving home. Seeing Enzo’s new life is such a joy to watch!
