These Candy Corn Pumpkin Dog Treats are a Festive and Delicious Snack
These ‘candy’ corn pumpkin treats for dogs have three ingredients and are all healthy for dogs. The frozen treats are fun and easy to make too. Gone to the Snow Dogs shows how.
You’ll need:
- Halloween shaped silicone molds
- Bananas (2)
- Can of 100% pure pumpkin (no sweeteners just pumpkin)
- Yogurt (a spoon plain no sugars)
- Tumeric – tiny bit to make the first layer a brighter yellow
You might want to make sure the dogs are away from the kitchen while you make these because if Kira the Snow Dog is any indication, your dogs will not be patient enough to wait for the results.
Mix the bananas, a spoon or two of plain yogurt, and a pinch of tumeric. Add a layer of the mix to the mold covering about one third. Then put it in the freezer for about an hour.
The next layer is pumpkin with a bit of yogurt and water to make it smoother and easier to pour. Add this mix as another layer to treat tray (another third) and put it into the freezer to harden.
Finally, add a layer of plain yogurt to the treats tray to fill it to the top of the mold and then put it back into the freezer for another hour or two. All done! Be sure to watch the video for the full instructions.
These healthy treats are sure to be popular so you might want to make some other Halloween treats while you are at it.
