Cop Spots Small Pit Bull Chained Up In The Rain And Shivering

New York Police Department officer Michael Pascale was out on patrol when he drove by a public park and spotted a small dog chained up to a fence and shivering in the rain. The dog was surrounded by used needles and broken beer bottles and his eyes looked at him in despair.

“He was just staring up at me with “Help Me” eyes,” Pascale said. He immediately texted his wife with a picture of the dog and wrote, “Can you believe someone would do something like this to an innocent animal?” She texted back “bring him home.”

Pascale brought “Joey” to animal control and was told there was a mandatory three day hold on any stray. Joey didn’t want his rescuer to leave but Pascale promised the dog he’d be back and he came back each day on his lunch break. Joey felt so comfortable with Pascale that he fell asleep on his hand when in the kennel.

The third day couldn’t come fast enough for both Joey and Pascale. The moment Joey got through the door he knew he was home. Joey is definitely a mama’s boy and is Pascale’s “number 1 partner.”
