Dog Startles Her Mom with ‘Hulk’ Green Face After Playing in the Lake
A dog parent recently got a big surprise when her dog dunked her head in an algae-covered lake and came out with a bright green face.
Louise is from Nottingham, England and usually doesn’t post videos of her dog. But her 2-year-old Boxer, Cali, startled her when they were out for a walk in the park. Cali ran to a nearby lake and was playing with her ball in the water. When Cali emerged from the water she looked a lot like the Marvel Comics superhero the Hulk.
Louise wrote on TikTok: “Cali clearly wanting to be the Hulk. She ran to a part of a lake and chucked her ball in then dunked her head to get it.”

Louise reassured everyone she quickly got Cali to wash herself. She wrote, “Don’t worry, I quickly made her go in clean water to get it all off.”
On a serious note, dog guardians should be on the look out for any warnings that algae-covered waters are safe to swim in and to avoid waters with toxic blue-green algae. There are increased toxic blue-green algae blooms in freshwater lakes and rivers due to warming weather and pollutants that can be very harmful to you and your dog.
Cali was perfectly fine as it was regular green algae. But what a look!
