Dog Gets Special Rooftop Lookout So He Can Keep An Eye On His Family

He likes to see who comes and goes.

A dog in Hawaii got an unusual lookout post thanks to his family after he gave them a bit of a fright. Check the dog and his family had just moved into their new home. When they left him alone in the house for the first time, they received an unexpected call from the neighbors because Check had adventured onto the roof.

Twitter user Alyxah shared Check’s story and some cute pictures of Check’s special lookout post and explained how the unusual perch was built.

“My boyfriend Nic and his dad built it because they had moved into a new house with a large lanai with access to the roof,” Alyxah told DogHeirs.com. “[T]he first day they had left their dog alone they called the fire department because he had made his way to the roof to get a better view and see where we had gone.”

Instead of blocking off the roof completely, they came up with a solution that was just for Check.

“So Nic’s dad blocked the access to the roof and made a little lookout for Check so he can see us leave and come home,” Alyxah said. “And also so he could hangout up there during the day.”

It’s also the perfect spot for Check to watch strangers as they walk by. His family sure came up with the smartest solution for him to keep an eye on everyone!
