Dog Hanging Around Farmer’s Market For Six Weeks Rescued Thanks to Persistent Volunteer

A Boston Terrier mix who had been hanging around a farmer’s market for over a month was finally rescued thanks to the persistence of a rescue volunteer. Workers at the market had been feeding the pup in hopes of catching him but he was too fast and ran away whenever someone tried to approach him so The Animal Rescue Center of California  was called for help.

Bett, one of the rescue’s volunteers, set up a trap to try and catch the dog but he was super fast and outsmarted the trap day after day. It seemed he had some familiarity with traps. “It was going to take the finest cuisine to catch this lil’ rascal,” the animal rescue wrote.

Bett was undeterred and spent several nights trying to catch him.

Finally, the dog climbed far enough into the trap to trigger the door! Shortly afterwards, “Kingley” went home with Bett to be fostered. Now that Kingsley it all cleaned up The Animal Rescue Center of California is hoping to find him a home.

Kingsley is up for adoption.

Those ears and the snaggletooth make Kingsley very adorable! To apply to adopt Kingsley visit www.thearc-ca.org.
