Dog Lost After New Year’s Eve Car Crash Joyfully Reunites With Owner
A dog reunited with his owner five days after a car crash on New Year’s Eve separated them. Max the Chihuahua went missing at the crash site on New Year’s Eve in Bunnell, Flagler County, Florida. Detectives with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office returned to the crash scene daily to try and find the dog. They left out food for the dog, hoping he would return to the scene.
And on Saturday, they finally found him.
As soon as Max spots his dad he runs over to him and jumps into his dad’s open arms. The two shared a heartfelt hug.
The Sheriff’s Office shared video of their happy reunion on their social media channels. They posted the following message along with the video: “Remember Max the Chihuahua that went missing after a car crash on New Year’s Eve? Detectives returned to the crash site daily to search for him and leave out food. Today, he was there!”
“As soon as his owner got on scene, Max ran to him and celebrated their reunion,” they continued.

Thank goodness Max was unhurt and returned to the crash site!
