Dog Runs Away from Home and Sneaks into Metallica Concert to Enjoy the Show
When we imagine what kind of music a dog might enjoy we don’t jump to heavy metal as our first choice. But we may have to rethink that after learning about a dog named Storm. The American heavy metal rock band Metallica revealed that Storm snuck into their recent concert in Los Angeles to enjoy the show.
According to Metallica’s official Twitter account, Storm ran away from her home near Los Angeles’ SoFi 70,000-seat stadium and ended up in the audience for night one of the band’s two-show residency.
“You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA!” the band tweeted (on August 31). “Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @SoFiStadium and made her way to the gig all by herself.”
They shared a photo of Storm sitting in a seat and happily staring down at the stage.
Now how Storm snuck out of home or what drew her to the music isn’t explained. But she appears to have really enjoyed the concert because she stayed the entire time and returned home the following day.
The tweet continued, “After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day. She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including Barx Æterna, Master Of Puppies, and The Mailman That Never Comes.”
Those new song titles sound barktastic. Does that mean there may be doggie versions of Metallica’s hit songs in the future? Sadly, it’s unlikely as the band added that no, dogs aren’t allowed at their show. “…[I]n case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day…”
That didn’t stop fans from adding their ideas for canine-related songs. “Paw Twisted Me?” one fan commented. “Of Woof And Man, Doggiebreath and The Call Of Pawtulu must be other favourites of hers too,” another wrote.
Another Metallica (and dog fan) noted, “Music truly is the universal language.” While another said, “Storm wanted to mosh but settled for a seat.”
“Nothing like a Storm to backdrop a killer night at a Metallica show,” joked another person.
WeRateDogs commented, “Storm clearly stole the show” to which Metallica responded, “14/10.”
