Dog Scared of Her Own Shadow Now Won’t Stop Smiling

A homeless Pit Bull scared of her own shadow can finally relax. Sandy was found as a stray on the streets of Chicago and rescued by On Tail at a Time. That’s how her foster mom met her and decided to take her home.

Sandy’s foster mom was shocked at just how scare Sandy was at first. Sandy was too scared to walk into her apartment so she had to be carried in and she was scared of practically everything she encountered. But slowly and surely Sandy started playing with other dogs and toys.

Through an Embark test, Sandy’s foster mom learned that she is very inbred, which probably accounts for her multiple health issues. Despite her multiple issues, Sandy tries so hard to be a good dog. Her mom describes her as “earnest.”

After three months, with no one stepping forward to adopt Sandy, her foster mom decided to adopt her permanently. Now Sandy is loved and understood, she won’t stop smiling.
