Dog Miraculously Recovering after Being Struck by Car and Left for Dead on Christmas Day
When David Loop spotted a struck dog on the side of the freeway on Christmas Day he thought the dog had been hit and killed. The founder of Sierra Pacific Furbabies figured he would scan the dog for a microchip so that he might be able to give closure to the dog’s family. But he was shocked when he noticed the dog’s lip quiver.
Loop immediately decided to do whatever he could do to help save the dog. He called his emergency team and they came out and took the dog they named Shiloh to an emergency centre.
The vet thought Shiloh would have to be immediately euthanized. The dog was completely paralyzed but they asked Loop to make a tough choice – euthanize Shiloh and end his suffering or give the dog a chance at a miracle. Loop saw a look in Shiloh’s eyes that made up his mind.
Five days later that miracle happened! Sierra Pacific Furbabies shared a video just 5 days later with Loop helping Shiloh stand up and wagging his tail – a huge milestone!

Shiloh is now in foster care and is doing incredibly considering just a few short weeks ago he was nearly dead.
Sierra Pacific Furbabies shared another video of Shiloh and he can now walk on his own! Shiloh is going to continue to need a lot of physical therapy but he is walking again which truly is a miracle.
