Dog Who Faints When Excited Doesn’t Let His Disability Keep Him Down
Peter the dog has a unique condition that causes him to pass out when he gets too excited. His family noticed his unusual condition when he was young. He will freeze and fall over during an episode, which lasts a few minutes. It can happen at the oddest times, like when he crosses from grass to concrete surfaces, or when he sees ducks.
His family, who have lovingly nicknamed him “Petrified Pete”, took him to the vets who aren’t sure what might be causing the neurological condition. It could be fainting goat syndrome or something else. Thankfully, veterinarians are confident Pete doesn’t experience any pain when he has one of his episodes. And Pete doesn’t let one get him down either. He gets right back up and carries on with his day.
Some people are horrified when they see it happen because they think he’s having a seizure, but once his family explains what’s going on they then want to get to know him. Pet loves this, says his family because, “He loves everyone and everyone loves him.”
