Lady spent her days chained to a dog house after she dared to chase the family’s chickens. When Sidewalk Specials came by to see how the dog was doing her owners told them “take her or we’ll kill her.” So, of course, they did. Lady was so frightened to be touched, when her rescuers tried to free her from her chain, yet she didn’t want to leave the only family she knew.
But she would soon learn that life free off the chain is a wonderful one!
