Elderly Neighbor’s Kind Gesture for Dog and Owner is Truly Heartwarming
Sometimes, all it takes is a thoughtful act of kindness to remind us of the goodness in the world. Jackie recently shared how her 86-year-old neighbor and friend, AJ, surprised her and her dog, Charli (aka Mr. Belvedere), after a trip to the veterinarian.
Jackie explained on her TikTok channel, “My dog and I are best friends with our elderly neighbor. My dog had surgery the other day and left the vet with some stitches. My neighbor checked in with me all day to see how my dog was doing.”
But what really touched Jackie’s heart was what happened when she returned home. She noticed AJ standing outside in the rain. “I was shocked when I pulled up and saw she was standing outside waiting for us,” Jackie said. It turned out AJ had been braving the rain to save her a parking spot, knowing how difficult they can be to find.
The next day, Jackie and Charli went to visit AJ to personally deliver some flowers to thank her. AJ asked Jackie, “Did he pick these?” to which Jackie answered, “Of course he did.”
Charli really adores AJ and looks forward to every visit, which is several times a week. The way these three look out for each other they really are the best of friends.
