Funny Dog Won’t Eat His Kibble Unless It’s ‘Microwaved’ Into ‘Human Food’

When it comes to his dinner time, Dunkin the dog likes his kibble served in a special way. Dunkin has observed that the microwave is where human food goes to be made and now won’t eat his kibble unless his mom, Haley Deeckan, microwaves it. She says, “He thinks once it goes in the microwave it magically becomes human food.”

Deeckan demonstrates this when she puts Dunkin’s bowl of kibble in front of him and he gives her a disapproving look, one that says “I’m not eating that!” But when she puts the bowl into the microwave and pretends to turn it on Dunkin perks up and becomes alert. The moment she places the bowl in front of him again, he enthusiastically begins to eat.

Many dog lovers recognize Dunkin’s and Deeckan’s routine. Redditor orangerobotgal writes: “I used to do this for my dog, too…She would practically squeal from anticipation if I prepared it with a little theatrics – I carefully stirred it, set it on top of the glass-topped stove to stir it more, sometimes pretending to shake on some spice from a spice jar. She saw me cook ‘like that’ for my hubby and kids, so she probably thought I was likewise fussing over her food.”
