Girl Thinking She Is Only Getting Toy Puppy Gets Big Surprise
Only child Reagan Tessier, from Gilford, New Hampshire, loves dogs—especially Teddy, the family’s seven-year-old Golden Retriever, whom she views as her “furry brother.” So, when she unwrapped a stuffed toy for Christmas, she was delighted. But seconds later, she was stunned as the plush toy she was holding in her arms turned into the real thing!

Cori and her husband wanted to get a playmate for Teddy and decided to surprise their daughter at the same time. They gave Reagan a toy dog with a collar and a name tag that read “Major” (named after Mount Major, a mountain near their home). Little did Reagan know, the real Major—an eight-week-old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy—was just around the corner, waiting to meet her.
Cori captured the heartwarming moment on video, showing Reagan’s reaction as she realized she had a new “furry brother” to love. From their very first hug and Major’s wagging tail, it’s clear these two are destined to be best friends.
