Heart-Shaped Beet Biscuits Are the Perfect Valentine’s Day Treat for Dogs
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, why not celebrate by baking your pup some adorable heart-shaped treats?
Proud Dog Mom provides this simple recipe to make red-colored treats using beets, not any food coloring. You’ll need to following ingredients:
- Oat flour
- Coconut flour
- Boiled and ground beet
- Infused beet water (from the boiled beets)
- Heart-shaped cookie cutter
- Baking mat
- Parchment paper
Proud Dog Mom likes to keep things as natural as possible. You simply need to peel and boil a beet and then grind it in a food processor (so the consistency of cauliflower rice). Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Watch the video for the measurements and how to combine the ingredients together.
These treats are great for Valentine’s but can be made for any time of year. You’ll want to refrigerate these treats because they have no preservatives and they will last a few days. You can also freeze them to make them last longer.
