How to Give Your Dog a Pill Without Any Hassle

Have you tried to give your dog a pill only to have him/her spit it out? It’s a pretty common occurrence, which is why veterinarian Dr. Burstyn and Cedric the dog want to show how to make it fun, easy and effective to give your dog a pill.

Generally, Dr. Burstyn advises not to put a pill into dog food or a treat because dogs have a really good sense of smell and are likely to spit it out.

Instead, he says placing the pill in the dog’s mouth gently is the way to do it. (Avoid cramming it down their throat as you could possibly bruise or hurt the area.)
