Lost Dog Goes Crazy With Happiness When She Realizes Her Family Has Found Her

Unfortunately, Ashley had no microchip or collar and her family was worried sick and almost lost hope. What they didn’t know was that Ashley was 240 miles away at a shelter where she had been mistaken as a stray and put up for adoption.

Luckily, an animal advocate for lost and found dogs saw Ashley’s picture and made the connection between the “stray” and the lost dog. The advocate reached out to Ashley’s family who immediately called the shelter and jumped in a car to drive the 240 miles to see her.

When Ashley’s family showed up at the shelter and visited the kennel they instantly recognized Ashley and called her name. And Ashley? She jumped to her feet and couldn’t contain her excitement at seeing her family again. She paws at the glass and whines and wants to be let out right away! And when she is, everyone warmly embraces.

We’re so happy to see Ashley reunited with her family and her story has a happy ending. But please remember, microchip your dog to make sure you are reunited with your pet!
