Mailman Builds Ramp for a Senior Dog On His Route After Seeing Family Struggling
When USPS letter carrier Jeff Kramer noticed that a family on his route was lifting their senior dog up and down their porch stairs, he decided to do something incredibly sweet.
“I lost my old dog,” Jeff said. So when he saw Karen Dimetrosky and her family needing help with their 14-year-old Labrador Retriever, Tashi, he donated his old dog’s ramp as well as his time to install it.
Jeff came over on his day off and set it up so that Tashi could continue to greet him and help keep the family from hurting their backs trying to lift Tashi. What a wonderful thing to do!
The Dimetrosky family calls Jeff’s gift “incredibly generous.”
For Jeff, he said it was important for him to do something because, he joked, he’s a mailman that likes dogs before adding more seriously, “The dog is still happy. That’s what we want, we want a happy animal.”
What Jeff did for Tashi reminds us of what one man saw his neighbor do for their dog. Read here.
