Mama Dog Chained and Abandoned with Newborn Puppies Outside Shelter
A mother dog was lying in the grass chained to a tree with her newborn puppies nursing. Someone had abandoned her and her puppies near the Dog Rescue Shelter, Serbia. Thank goodness they did because Milan and his staff heard the mama and puppies howling outside their shelter and went to investigate. The dogs in the shelter also sensed something was wrong and were barking.
When Milan approached the mama dog, she was so calm. Despite being tossed aside, she trusted him. “She sensed that we wanted to help her and her babies,” he said.
After calmly saying “hello,” Milan undid the chain trapping the mama, and he carefully placed her puppies in the discarded box that must have held them earlier.
“We will do everything for this brave mama and her newborn puppies,” Milan said once taking the dogs back inside the shelter. For now, that means feeding the mama and letting her nurse and care for her pups.
