Naughty Dogs Leave Apology Note For Mail Carrier After Eating Her Lunch
Rescued dogs Bear and Bull are a rambunctious duo. The Labrador retriever mixes love to dig holes, chew up stuff and steal a mail carrier’s lunch.
That last item got them in a little trouble recently when their mom, Carol Jordan, discovered a note on the door.
Apparently, a postal worker came by to drop off a package at her home, and left open the delivery vehicle door (as most couriers do).
Unbeknownst to her, Bear and Bull jumped into the vehicle and proceeded to eat her lunch. They didn’t like her carrots though – they spat those out onto the lawn. The kindly courier left a note at the door after the canine thieves were done:
“Hey! I drove up to deliver a package and both of the dogs crawled in my truck. They got into my lunch and ate an egg and some carrots and pumpkin seeds. I don’t know if that will upset their tummies, just FYI!”
Jordan was touched by the kind gesture, and decided to make up for her dogs’ mischief. She, Bear and Bull gave the mail carrier a gift card for a new lunch and an apology note. The note read:
“Sorry we ate your lunch. Thank you for sharing! P.S. Our humans said, ‘Thank you’ for leaving a note. We didn’t like the note. We got in trouble.”
The two dogs didn’t really get in trouble. Jordan always quickly forgives her dogs, knowing they really can’t help themselves and are doing what dogs will do. She also knows they aren’t going to change their ways any time soon.
“They don’t really regret anything they do!” Jordan told the Dodo. “They will look guilty for a while, but then it is all fun and games with them again.”
