Neighbors Making People Smile With Their Dueling Political Signs For Their Dogs

Two neighbors in Arvada, Colorado, have decided to lighten the mood in their community by putting up dueling political signs for their dogs. The two women said they got together to have some fun in what is an “anxious time for all of us” and “make our neighbor’s smile.”

They figured they had the opportunity to lighten things up and put their dogs forward as candidates. There’s Mollie, whose mom says she has a head for leadership and is often in charge of organizing all the dogs at the dog park. Mollie’s stance is “anti-squirrel,” and she “wants more treats for everyone in the community.”

Then there’s Chloe, whose mom says she is “older and wiser” than Mollie. She also has very good focus when it comes to tennis balls. At the end of the day, it’s all in good fun and meant to convey a message to “keep everything in perspective and still be kind to your neighbor.”

And people are loving the message. The light-hearted humor isn’t lost on viewers who watched the news video.

“Finally a race where the candidates have a leg up on the issues,” commented one viewer on YouTube.

“Might be a ruff campaign,” added another.

“When your political platform is a lawn, lol,” wrote one other viewer.

“The squirrel lobby is nuts,” joked another viewer which got responses such as, “That, my friend, is acorn-y joke… Stay awesome.”
