Pregnant Dog Kicked Out of Her Home by Backyard Breeder Taken in By Kind-Hearted Neighbors

A dog used for backyard breeding was abandoned by her owners after she proved unprofitable for them. Solari was cast aside by her owners after they couldn’t sell her last litter of puppies. They kicked her out of their yard and let her roam the neighborhood to fend for herself.

Neighbors Lisa and Grant had seen Solari roaming around and trying to survive on the streets. Lisa and Grant noticed Solari’s plight and saw that she was pregnant so they decided to do what they could to help her.

They couldn’t bring her inside their home because she is reactive to cats and small animals, which the couple have a lot of. They also didn’t want to bring her to animal control as it would be more than likely that mama and her pups would be euthanized. So they provide her makeshift shelter in their shed.

Just days after taking in Solari, the dog gave birth to 8 puppies. While taking care of the pups, Grant and Lisa worked on boosting Solari’s confidence by starting clicker training with her and giving her lots of love and attention. She has blossomed into such a sweet dog!

Lisa shared on her TikTok channel that since the puppies have been weaned, Solari has been spayed and they have found homes for most of the puppies.

Lisa said that raising the puppies has been a “super fun experience.” The couple have received hundreds of applications for the puppies and are determined to find all the dogs loving homes, including Solari.
