Police Officers Come to the Rescue of Scared Pit Bull Stuck Under Train
Three Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) police officers came to the rescue of a dog stuck under a train. Officers Lewis, Dolce, and Olivares responded to a call about a scared Pit bull hiding under a Metro-North train in the Bronx. When they got there, the dog was curled up in a little ball and very scared.
Officer Dolce said of the dog, “He had no idea what was going on.” They tried to gain his trust by feeding him Officer Olivares’ lunch (ground turkey/chicken pasta), and the dog gobbled it up. Then Officer Dolce crawled under the train and used his “doggie voice” in the hopes of getting him to come out.
Thankfully, their kind actions convinced the dog to come with them, and he let Officer Dolce put a collar on him and pull him out.
Dolce told ABC7 afterwards, “He was a happy little boy just playing, so you could tell it was very traumatic for him…but I was able to be – get him out and everything is alright.”
