Tiny Puppy Looking Like a ‘Little Bear’ Dumped in Parking Lot Spotted By Good Samaritan
Deanna Tsosie is known in her community for rescuing dogs. So when someone on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona saw a tiny puppy huddling in the parking lot at an Ace Hardware they reached out to her.
“He is about 4–5 weeks old. He was supposedly dumped off there…,” Tsosie wrote on Instagram. When she arrived at the store she saw the little black puppy hiding around the wheel of a truck.

As soon as he saw her he ducked behind the wheel. But he responded to her coaxing and she gently picked him up.
Tsosie was concerned for the puppy she named Ace, because of his young age so she searched for his mother but she couldn’t find any other dogs in the area.
The next thing Tsosie did was to reach out to AZ Hidden Jem Rescue (HJR) in Phoenix, Arizona to see if they could take care of Ace, who would need to be nursed. HJR is a foster-based rescue who helps with owner surrenders, strays on the reservation.
“When we saw the first video just like you all we fell in love,”HJR wrote on Instagram. “He looked like a little bear and just confused! We got him quickly after he was found!”
Since Ace arrived, HJR says he has been “doing amazing” and “loves attention.” He’s in foster care and loving to play with foster kittens and foster siblings in his temporary home. He’ll be able to play with puppies as soon as his mange has cleared up.
“He just wants to be close to someone and playing! He is still learning toys are ok to chew on hands are not,” HJR said in an update.

Ace will need to continue his vet visits until he is cleared and once he is 8 weeks old he will be neutered before being placed up for adoption.
