Puppy Mill Dog Terrified of Human Touch Transforms, Now Looking for a Home
A tiny dog rescued by National Mill Dog Rescue has made a tremendous transformation and is now looking for a home. “Three months ago, Walter, our six-year-old Mini Poodle, arrived at our rescue terrified of human touch, even showing signs of aggression to protect his space,” the dog rescue organization writes. “But thanks to the tireless dedication of our Behavior Team, Walter has blossomed into a completely transformed companion.”
The video they shared of Walter shows him in his kennel, worriedly pacing back and forth, looking for a way to get away from the people visiting him. But three months later, his expression and body language have completely changed.
National Mill Dog Rescue writes, “Today, Walter actively seeks affection, enjoys naps in the laps of trusted friends, and even bursts into joyful zoomies! His newfound willingness to engage in play with humans is a heartwarming sight. We’re thrilled to announce that Walter is now available for adoption!”
They add, “Walter’s journey from fear to trust is why we continue our mission every day.”
