Mick the Boston Terrier was born with Swimmer Puppy Syndrome. The Mia Foundation out of Rochester, New York was called to see if they would help the 6-week-old puppy.
With Swimmer Puppy Syndrome, puppies’ legs splay out so they cannot walk, stand or even sit. Most puppies born with this condition are euthanized. But the condition is treatable with physical therapy and lots and lots of TLC. That’s why Mick’s rescuers refused to give up on him.
Mick had therapy four times a day for 15 minutes at a time. Those long days began to pay off and Mick could sit and then stand. And then something amazing happened…Here’s a video showing Mick’s progress in just a few short weeks!
