When Elizabeth and Holden rescued Paul the Greyhound from his life racing on the tracks in Florida, they were determined to give him the best retirement ever. Paul had been racing right up until the day before greyhound racing was banned.
Paul was immediately overwhelmed by life in the city. Things like climbing the stairs or sitting on the soft couch were totally foreign to him, having spent his life in a kennel and working on the race track.
He just didn’t understand how to relax or hang out in the dog park. So Elizabeth and Holden just give Paul his space and teach him how to do things, mixing it all in with lots of patience.
And their patience is paying off as Paul is getting more confident and comfortable in his new life!
