Racing Greyhound with Epilepsy Confused By Indoor Life at First, Now Loves to Lounge
A greyhound named Chilli was bred to race but he wasn’t fast enough so he was retired just a few days after his first race. That’s how Kayley and Darcy came to adopt him. When they first brought Chilli home he didn’t wag his tail or show any signs of happiness. Being indoors was completely alien to him. But Kayley says Chilli “trusted us so quickly” and slept by their bed on the floor.
The dog kept looking at them like “Are you going to leave me?” But each and every day Chilli grew more confident and comfortable with his new surroundings and his new family!

Chilli has epilepsy and needs medicine every 12 hours. Kayley says she too has an illness so the two of them love to hang out and relax. She says that Chilli is actually quite slow and lazy.
He’ll have bursts of energy and run around their backyard, of course, but for the most part he is perfectly content lounging around for the day.
It’s so wonderful that Chilli was rescued from racing and has a family who embraces his adorable, goofy nature!
