Rescue Dog Who Lost Her Family Loves to Hold Her New Mom’s Hand
When sweet Zoey’s owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness, the pit bull suddenly needed a new home. Zoey lived in Mexico at the time, and the man’s mother found a rescue organization willing to take her. Zoey was brought to Washington state, where she unfortunately languished for several months. Her foster family discovered her at the very back of the rescue, and she clearly not being shown to potential adopters and so was not having many opportunities to find a new home.
That’s when Shanti learned about Zoey and knew she wanted to help her. Zoey quickly adapted to life with her new family. Although she was very skinny when she first arrived, Shanti made sure to feed her well and bring her up to a healthy weight.
As Zoey bonded with Shanti, her husband, and their other dogs, she revealed an adorable habit: she loves to hold hands. This affectionate dog not only likes to be held but is also very empathetic and gets along with everyone.
It’s heartwarming to see Zoey get a second chance to be loved and love.
