Sweet Rescue Dog Takes a Chilly Dip and Snuggles with Her Pal
Matilda is one of the beloved rescue dogs who lives at The Asher House. This sweet girl has cerebellar hypoplasia, a condition caused by an underdeveloped cerebellum—the part of the brain responsible for coordinating movement. As a result, she wobbles when she walks. She showed up at a shelter and Lee Asher made sure to rescue her.
While her disability means she can’t run or walk like other dogs, she is deeply loved by Lee and dog lovers worldwide. Matilda also gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and has formed many friendships, including a special bond with Patrick, an adorable pug.
Recently, Lee captured two heartwarming moments with Matilda. In the first, she takes a “polar plunge” into the pond, seemingly unfazed by the freezing water!
The second sweet moment happens at bedtime, when Matilda decides to cuddle up with Patrick.
