Chihuahua Becomes New Family Member After Found Cold and Hungry
Dogs who are rescued never forget the humans who saved them. We are highlighting heartwarming stories of dogs saved from dire situations and then cherished as invaluable family members.
“Last night on 2/25/2012, my son was driving home from his friend’s house a little after 10 pm. The road was dark and the only lights are from headlights from vehicles passing through. This little dog darted out on the road nearly getting hit by our truck.”
“My son pulled over and got out to see if she was hurt, but to his pleasant surprise, she ran up to him, almost jumping on him.”
“I’d like to add that I had just lost a pekingese named Sky 7 months ago, so I didn’t want to have a dog in the house anymore. However once my son picked her up and brought her home, she was hungry, cold, scared and infested with fleas.”
“How could i turn her away??”
“So, we cleaned her up really good and fed her. We took her to the vet and we’re told she’s less than a year old and all in all she’s in good health. She’s the sweetest pup and we decided to keep her, so heres the newest member of our family, Nala.”
“My son named her after the little lion from The Lion King who was a survivor. So here’s to many years of happiness with our “Nala.”
