Senior Basset Hound Gets So Excited When He Sees His Old Friend in the Neighborhood

Errol the Basset Hound has been friends with Romeo, another dog in the neighborhood, since 2016. The pals met and became best friends and would see each other every weekday for a long time. Both dogs are much older now so they don’t see each other as regularly as they used to. “They used to see each other every weekday but they don’t see each other so often anymore,” Errol’s mom, Jenna wrote on TikTok.

Recently, Errol had surgery so the time between seeing Romeo has been even longer. So when Jenna took Errol out for a walk in the neighborhood the other day, and they spotted Romeo, Errol got very excited and began howling. Jenna filmed the touching moment the two old friends meet. They are so happy to see each other!

“Just two old friends, like no time has passed,” Jenna captioned in the video. Errol is 13.5 years old now and Jenna wrote on TikTok that “He’s an old guy with some health issues, but we are taking it day by day. Every day is a gift at his age.”
