Skinny Mastiff is a Completely Different Dog One Year After Her Rescue

Mildred the English Mastiff’s transformation one year after her rescue has left her rescuer speechless. When Lee Asher first picked Mildred up from the Tacoma Humane Society, the large dog was skin and bones. In addition to being severely underweight, she had numerous ailments including Lyme disease, her poor condition the result of 8 or 9 years of neglect.

Mildred could hardly stand up but she was eager to get out of the shelter and go with Lee. Once at the Asher House, Mildred began to heal. And one year later, Lee is amazed by the difference in her.

“It’s only been one year! Look at the difference from when we adopted her to how she looks and feels now,” he described in the caption of Mildred’s one year anniversary video.

Lee revealed that it’s taken that length of time for Millie’s blood work to come back as normal. He says that physically she’ll continue to heal but emotionally she has healed and is “one of the happiest dogs in the pack.”

It’s a wonderful transformation to see!
