These Spiderweb Donut Dog Treats Are A Spooky Delight

Why should kids be the only ones to enjoy Halloween treats? Gone to the Snow Dogs regularly shares her recipes for holiday treats that she gives to her dogs. For Autumn and Halloween she’s shared recipes for Pumpkin Spice Lattes for Dogs, Pumpkin and Peanut Butter Dog Treats and Gummy Halloween Candy for Dogs.

This time, she shares how to make spooky spiderweb donut dog treats! These donuts are special pumpkin and apple donuts just for dogs!

You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Donut pan (or two)
  • Coconut cooking oil (2 tbsp)
  • 1 Large Egg
  • Unsweetened apple sauce (1/2 cup)
  • Pumpkin, canned 100% plain pumpkin (1/2 cup)
  • Peanut butter (no artificial sweeteners!) (1/2 cup)
  • Flour, whole wheat or regular (2 cups)
  • Baking powder (1/2 tsp)
  • White Yogurt Coating Melting Wafers (optional for decoration)

The one challenge with this recipe is keeping the dogs off the counter while you make it, as you will see. Watch the video below for how to make these spooky donuts along with her cooking tips. And watch til the end to see the her huskies’ taste test the results.

We also think these donuts could easily be converted into treats for other holidays like Christmas or New Year’s Eve. What do you think?
