As a stray Rosie was scalded after people threw hot water on her because they thought she was a pest. Sidewalk Specials came to the Cape Town neighborhood to help her but she didn’t want to be caught.
But they managed to get her and bring her to a vet and learned they had rescued her just in time as she had cancer – advanced TVT (transmissible venereal tumor) – in addition to her terrible third degree burns
Thankfully, Sidewalk Specials’ donors helped support Rosie during her recovery over many months. And what a transformation! She looks like a different dog now. She’s also got the best new family who take such good care of her!
