Stray Great Pyrenees Puppy Gets Into Prickly Predicament After Becoming Stuck On Cactus
Poor Tumbleweed! The 5-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy was found stuck on a cactus and rushed to hospital at the Arizona Humane Society recently.
Nina, an emergency animal medical technician with AHS, spotted the puppy while out. The poor puppy was covered with burrs and spines from the nasty cactus.
But thankfully, Nina managed to free him and get him help.
The team of vets noted that the dog’s long fur had “become so entangled with the cactus burrs” that they had to shave him down and remove all the prickly objects.
Although Tumbleweed looks confused as to what’s going on he was “gentle” throughout “the entire ordeal.”
“Throughout the entire ordeal, Tumbleweed’s gentle disposition never faltered,” they wrote on Facebook. “The sweet pup patiently waited as the veterinary team slowly removed painful spines from his entire body.”
And it didn’t take very long for the puppy to find a new home. Within a week of being rescued and put up for adoption, Tumbleweed has found a new home.
But there are lots of other adorable, adoptable pups at the AHS looking for a home: https://www.azhumane.org/adopt/
