Stray Pit Bull Trapped in Abandoned Home During Snow Storm Gets Rescued
Stray Rescue of St. Louis was desperately looking for a female Pit Bull before a snow storm hit the city. After tracking her for about a week, they finally found her but not before the snow fell.
“We knew she was staying in a row of abandoned houses, but we couldn’t figure out which one – she just kept disappearing,” the rescue group wrote on YouTube of their search. “We saw her overnight on our trail cam and tried again. We knew she was all alone and so cold.”
Thankfully, the snow helped them in the search because they spotted her footprints in the snow leading to a house. She had sought shelter in one of the more dangerous homes in the area.
“She was in one of the houses we had already searched and didn’t think she would choose this one because of the flooded basement and huge gaping hole she would have to jump over to get inside. But she was desperate to be warm and took the risk,” they wrote. They found “Beijing” huddled and shaking on some insulation on the top floor.
But she didn’t put up any resistance when she saw them and let them walk her out of the house. As soon as she had warmed up inside their truck “she was nothing but kisses.”
A month after her rescue, “Beijing” is all smiles. That’s because she was found again, this time by her new forever dad – Rod!
“This is what it’s all about,” Stray Rescue of St. Louis wrote on Facebook. “We rescue invisible souls from the streets and abandoned houses who believe no one cares about them. We give them love and our supporters give them life. And here she is TODAY with her FOREVER DAD!!”
Beijing has been renamed Molly by Rod, who wrote, “I named her Molly she’s the best dog I’ve ever had. She is truly a part of my heart. Thank you very much.”
