Taylor Lautner is mourning the loss of his best friend.

The 26-year-old actor best known for his role in Twilight, posted that his 13.5-year-old dog, Roxy, had passed away.

He shared a photo of Roxy with the following caption on Instagram:

“Roxy, my family surprised me with you on the set of sharkboy and lavagirl in 2004. You have brought so much joy into my life for the past 13 1/2 years. I’ll miss you every day but I’ll take those memories with me everywhere I go. I love you.”

As the post reveals, Roxy the Maltese has been with the actor through his entire career. She was a gift from his family when he filmed his first movie (The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl).
