Unhappy Great Pyrnees Goes To Farm And Transforms
Hank, a Great Pyrnees, was unhappy at his home. His family noticed Hank’s depression and reached out to Shelley and Jason who run an animal sanctuary and farm in Nova Scotia to see if they might adopt him. Hank’s family shared that they cared for Hank for almost a year but he was “very unhappy and needs to live on a farm.”
Shelley and Jason said yes and it only took Hank a few days to transform into a very happy farm dog. Shelley shared several videos of Hank adjusting to life on the farm showing how quickly he’s adjusting to his new life. Hank was only in the yard for a few minutes at his new home when the lambs came down to greet him. His guardian dog instincts kicked right in and he was licking the lambs and herding them.
Shelley was amazed at how quickly the farm animals welcomed Hank. She said, “I live here and see these animals everyday. I’ve never ever seen them respond so calmly to any human or animal. Beautiful to watch.”

She was also pleased to see how fast Hank has adjusted. Hank gets along really well with their other dog Milo and he likes looking after the lambs and happily keeps watch over them.

Hank now roams the farm and hangs out with his herd and is one happy dog.

Annie the sheep particularly likes hanging out with with Hank. And Hank’s old family are free to visit him at any time and have already come by for visits.

Hank is living his best life now. He’s got so many friends and places to roam and he’s doing what his breed is best at, tending to his flock. Even better, his old family gets to visit and see him thriving.
